President and Clinical Director
Marek is President and Clinical Director of Physical Therapy and Feldenkrais® NYC, a member of the Hospital for Special Surgery Rehabilitation Network. He is a co-founder of the Feldenkrais Foundation and the Feldenkrais Institute of New York. A former supervisor of The New York Pain Treatment Program at Lenox Hill Hospital, Marek worked with Dr. Hans Kraus (pioneer of sports medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation and trigger-point therapy).
For over 25 years, Marek has worked with people suffering from pain, orthopedic, and neurological problems; as well as athletes and performing artists. He has published articles in medical journals and leads continuing education courses designed specifically to “bridge” the complementary worlds of Physical Therapy and the Feldenkrais Method®.
Bonnie Humiston, BSN, MS
Bonnie Rich Humiston, BSN, MS, is one of Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais’ original American students. She joined the San Francisco Feldenkrais training program in the ’70s while working as a nursing instructor and a director of Nursing at Oregon State Hospital.
Bonnie has maintained an active private practice as a Feldenkrais teacher for over 40 years. She has been at the center of leadership in the Feldenkrais profession - serving on the Feldenkrais Guild’s board of directors, chairman of their training programs accreditation board, taught in training programs, and mentoring students and new graduates in the Feldenkrais Method.
Her passion is to lead and guide people through the process of healing and improvement. Many of her students and clients express a deep appreciation for her remarkable healing touch, her calm and wisdom.

Senior Feldenkrais Practitioners
Valerie a licensed Physical Therapy and Senior Feldenkrais Practitioner with over 25 years of clinical experience. She started her physical therapy career at the Rusk Institute in New York, and worked in private physical therapy practices including Bradley & Monson before joining our practice.
Her professional interest is to integrate the Feldenkrais Method’s movement philosophy into her treatment of neurological and orthopedic patients. Valerie became interested in physical therapy because of her interest in anatomy, movement, dance and music.
Kasia is a licensed physical therapist and senior Feldenkrais practitioner with over 25 years of clinical experience helping clients with a variety of orthopedic and neurological issues, pain, or movement problems.
Kasia's interest in the Feldenkrais Method has been a lifelong quest to understand how we move and function in the world. She successfully used the study of the method to solve a persistent sciatica problem developed during pregnancy and while caring for her infant son. This personal journey sparked an interest in working with women on a variety of health issues. Her goal is to guide her clients to more ease and comfort of moving, living, and being.
Kasia expertly combines her understanding of anatomy, physiology, Feldenkrais Method, and principals of mindfulness practice.
Senior Feldenkrais Practitioners
Mark is a Senior Feldenkrais Practitioner providing private sessions and teaching weekly classes and evening workshops. Mark graduated from the Feldenkrais Professional Training Program in 2003. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Theater Arts from UCLA and he holds an MFA, also in theater, from Florida State University.
Mark has helped clients with a myriad of issues, ranging from neck, back, hip, knee, ankle and shoulder pain to eye strain and neurological problems. Mark also enjoys working with clients who want to explore general self-improvement (physical, mental and psychological), heightened awareness and an improved sense of well-being.
Margot Schaal is a Senior Feldenkrais Practitioner providing private sessions and teaching weekly classes and evening workshops. Margot graduated from the Marin II Feldenkrais Professional Training Program in 2003. She became a Certified Assistant Trainer of the Feldenkrais Method in 2015. Margot holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and is a Reiki Master and Qigong teacher.
Margot has practiced in the US and Rwanda teaching all ages, backgrounds, performing artists, and athletes. Guided by her gentle and supportive approach, her clients learn how to address issues related to neurological conditions, orthopedic challenges, chronic pain, and anxiety. She helps her clients increase flexibility, balance, physical performance, and enjoy their health and life more fully.
Staff Feldenkrais Practitioners
Suzanne Ausnit is a Staff Feldenkrais Practitioner providing private sessions, teaching a weekly class, and presenting evening workshops throughout the year. She graduated from the Feldenkrais Professional Training Program of New York in 2013. Suzanne taught yoga full-time for over 15 years with extensive certifications and advanced anatomy training.
She uses the Feldenkrais Method to help clients improve their balance, breathing, mobility and overall coordination. She also works with clients to reduce and eliminate back pain, shoulder, knee and hip issues, and overall stress. She is passionate about teaching people how to actively incorporate the Feldenkrais Method into their daily lives so that they can be the “best” they can be. Suzanne speaks French, Italian and Russian.
Janin Gunderman is a Staff Feldenkrais Practitioner providing private sessions and teaching weekly classes. She is an assistant to the director of the Feldenkrais Foundation. She graduated from the Feldenkrais Professional Training Program in 2013.
She worked as an RN and Nurse Practitioner in a variety of nursing positions including the Peace Corps, Medical and Surgical Intensive Care Units and Adult Medicine Walk In Clinic in North Central Bronx Hospital. Janin holds a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from William Paterson College and a Masters of Science from Columbia University.
Resident Feldenkrais Practitioner
Dorota is a Resident Feldenkrais Practitioner. She graduated from the Feldenkrais Professional Training Program in 2017. Originally from Poland, Dorota received her MS in Biology from the University of Gdansk. She holds a BFA in Fashion Design from FIT in New York and worked for 12 years as a fashion designer, during which time she developed chronic back pain. In her search for treatment, she discovered the Feldenkrais Method, and a new career path was born.
Dorota works with clients of all ages and professions, and is committed to helping people find their own individual path to improvement.
Marion is a Resident Feldenkrais Practitioner providing private sessions and teaching weekly classes. She discovered the Feldenkrais Method in her native France over 10 years ago and has been incorporating Feldenkrais principles into her professional dance practice ever since. Marion holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economic and Social Sciences and is a certified dance instructor in ballet and Graham technique. She recently graduated from the Feldenkrais Professional Training Program.
Marion strives to reveal to each individual their fullest potential so that anyone can be the best version of themselves. Her curiosity in the human body, anatomy, movement, and her background as a dancer allows her to help a broad array of individuals by answering various needs, from restoring basic function of movement to furthering athletic performances and performing skills. She is eager to create the conditions for self knowledge and self development leading to more ease, confidence and pleasure in movement and in life!
